Practice

Mr. Lavender holds a unique 'of counsel' position at Modrall Sperling utilizing his knowledge, skills and contacts acquired during his 33 years with the Chicago Board of Trade on behalf of the firm.  In addition to his business development activities, he has an intimate knowledge of the world of derivatives, futures and options, and the regulatory framework of these products and the marketplaces and exchanges on which they are traded.  While a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, Mr. Lavender promoted the CBOT in Great Britain, Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong, and advocated on behalf of the Exchange in Washington, DC.
