Mr. Falk has practiced law with Modrall Sperling since 1970, primarily in the public finance and transaction law areas. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 1991 through present (based on results of lawyer surveys). Mr. Falk has worked extensively on taxable and nontaxable financings for private and governmental organizations and has considerable experience with contemporary financing techniques, including interest swaps, credit, liquidity enhancement financings, equipment lease financings, variable and flexible interest rates, and multi-mode structures.
Representative Matters
Mr. Falk served as bond counsel to the City of Albuquerque for about seventeen years, as lead counsel on State Board of Finance matters and has represented numerous other issuers, underwriters, banks, developers and trustees in public and private financing transactions. His public finance experience in education and health facilities includes representation of the Albuquerque Academy, the College of Santa Fe, Highlands University, the University of New Mexico, San Juan Regional Medical Center and Memorial Medical Center.
Education
Mr. Falk is a 1960 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He served as a United States Naval Aviator for seven years before entering law school and received his law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Denver in 1970.
