Ms. Kahn concentrates her practice in ERISA, employee benefits law, HIPAA, and healthcare law. She advises clients on defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans including: 401(k) plans and ESOPs, Section 125-cafeteria plans, HSAs and HRAs, welfare plans, severance plans, domestic partner benefits, COBRA, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans. Ms. Kahn advises group health plans and physician practice groups on HIPAA compliance and has worked on regulatory compliance for healthcare providers.

Ms. Kahn has made presentations at numerous seminars on 401(k) plans, cafeteria plans, welfare plans, payroll practices, HSAs, and HIPAA.
Ms. Kahn provides legal counsel to more than 250 employee benefit plans.
Ms. Kahn has worked as in-house counsel for an international life insurance company, as director of benefits and counsel for a large healthcare organization, and in private practice in California and Albuquerque. She clerked on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Judge Harry Pregerson.

Ms. Kahn ranked first in her law school graduating class and during law school received the Aggeler Award; Hornbook Award, West Publishing Company Award; American Jurisprudence Awards for Contracts, for Trusts and Wills, for Constitutional Law, and for Corporations; Prentice-Hall Award for Federal Income Tax; and J. Rex Dibble Honor Award. She was President, St. Thomas More Law Honor Society; a Member of Loyola Law Review, and Alpha Sigma Nu. She was nominated for YWCA Women on the Move (2001).
