Marte Lightstone to Present at Energy in the Southwest Conference

    Marte D. Lightstone will present at the upcoming 9th Annual Energy in the Southwest Conference, sponsored by Law Seminars International, July 9-10, at the Hilton of Santa Fe Historic Plaza Hotel, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Marte will present an overview entitled "Update on Pending Legal Challenges to Environmental Regulations and Likely Outcomes" with Vickie Patton, General Counsel of the Environmental Defense Fund, Boulder, Colorado, and Samuel B. Boxerman of Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C. This conference will provide a comprehensive look at recent trends and developments in energy policy in the Southwest for attorneys, industry executives, government officials and others involved with energy development.

    Marte advises clients on all aspects of natural resources law with a particular emphasis on oil and gas law, environmental law, tribal resources and jurisdictional issues. Her experience includes complex and class action litigation and representation before local, state, federal and tribal regulatory agencies. She has extensive experience in oilfield-related environmental issues, air and groundwater issues, climate change issues and greenhouse gas regulation. Marte is rated AV® by Martindale-Hubbell.
