Medical Retirement of Max Madrid, Stalwart Litigator
Max Madrid, a stalwart of Modrall Sperling’s litigation practice, recently retired to devote his unbounded energy to fighting liver cancer. Max joined the firm in 1993, returning to New Mexico with his masters and law degrees from the University of Texas. While at Modrall Sperling, Max set the standard for fierce advocacy for his clients while upholding a commitment to professionalism. A former State Bar Commissioner, Max’s fervent work for his clients and the profession was recognized by the Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators and Best Lawyers in America® in Education Law. Although Max has received numerous honors as a lawyer, his greatest service has been as a friend and mentor to members of the firm and father to his two children. We will miss his passion for the law while he is fighting his battle against a terrible disease but look forward to a day in which he will return to the firm and the courtroom.
