Business Services

The firm regularly represents healthcare and other clients in forming business corporations, professional corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies and in structuring their transactions to minimize tax liability. We have represented clients in public finance, real estate and asset based secured transactions throughout the State of New Mexico and assist clients to negotiate, structure and document transactions involving the purchase, sale, exchange, development, leasing and financing of commercial real estate.

Compliance

The Service Group can also assist providers in drafting and implementing corporate compliance programs and with other compliance activities to minimize risk in the areas of privacy, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse, and HIPAA compliance. We regularly counsel clients with respect to the intricacies of compliance with the federal Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute. We also have represented healthcare clients with respect to compliance issues before various government agencies.

Employee Benefits

Many of our healthcare and other clients rely on our firm for advice with respect to their employee benefit plans, including defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans including 401(k) plans and ESOPs, Section 125-cafeteria plans, HSAs and HRAs, welfare plans, severance plans, domestic partner benefits, COBRA, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
