United States Department of the Interior
Links to the Department's eight bureaus: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Geological Survey, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, Minerals Management Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Reclamation, and Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement.

United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service
Information on the public lands managed by the Forest Service, resource management, appeals and litigation with the Forest Service, Freedom of Information Act requests, and various Forest Service publications.

United States Environmental Protection Agency
A comprehensive regulatory site, with summaries of the EPA's programs from Acid Rain to Year 2000. Current and proposed statutes and regulations are available, as well as Federal Register notices pertaining to the environment. The excellent search engine and summaries of federal laws make the EPA's site a good starting point for environmental issues.

New Mexico Environment Department.
Contacts, proposed environmental regulations, and links to the Bureaus of Air Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Solid Waste, Underground Storage Tanks, Ground Water, Hazardous and Radioactive Materials, and Surface Water Quality.

New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department
Links to the programs administered by the EMNRD, including the Energy Conservation and Management Division, the Forestry Division, the Mining and Minerals Division, and the Oil Conservation Division.

Office of the State Engineer
The OSE is responsible for water rights administration and related functions in New Mexico. Its site includes proposed and current Basin Guidelines, hearing schedules, status of current adjudications, proposed criteria and regulations, reports and maps related to hydrographic surveys, forms, and water resources links.

Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation
The Foundation presents courses and publications addressing legal issues associated with mineral and water resources. At least one Modrall Sperling attorney has been a Trustee of the Foundation since 1993.

Advisory Council on Historic Preservation
The Council is an independent Federal agency created by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA). This site contains information on historic and cultural preservation generally and on compliance with Section 106 of the NHPA.

Native American Legal Resources
This site contains links to many Indian law resources, including treaties, statutes, regulations, relevant agencies, and sites maintained by individual tribes. In addition, the site maintains links related to Native American culture, history, language, education and more.
