Zoë Lees Receives Legal Committee Appointments

Zoë E. Lees, an Associate with Modrall Sperling, has been named Chair of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Committee on Infrastructure and Regulated Industries Law. She was also recently appointed to the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation’s Young Professionals Committee.
The ABA’s Infrastructure and Regulated Industries Law committee addresses the legal issues that affect the regulation and operation of public utilities, telecommunications industry and transportation systems. It is comprised of young lawyers worldwide who practice before federal and state utility regulators. Her term as Chair will run from autumn, 2017 – autumn, 2018.
The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation consists of no more than ten young attorneys who are selected for their abilities to assume future leadership roles in the Foundation and the natural resources industry. Her term will run three years.
In her practice with Modrall Sperling, Lees focuses in energy, utilities, environmental law and litigation. She works with companies who do business with public utilities on their utility regulation matters. She also advises clients on environmental laws and regulatory matters including the Endangered Species Act.
