Electronic Billing Specialist – Albuquerque, NM
Responsibilities Include:
- Setup new electronic clients in the billing platforms (filling in forms for registrations and matter setups)
- Setup new electronic clients in Aderant
- Track new matters for electronic client to confirm these matters are setup correctly
- Track and setup rates for electronic clients (looking for discrepancies in rates, within client #s, matters, & billing attorneys)
- Obtain timekeeper approval from clients through platforms
- Setup approved timekeepers in Aderant
- Setup logins in platforms and maintain passwords
- Gather WIP and billed data for billing attorney to fill in budget request
- Submit budgets through platforms
- Verify outstanding invoices have been submitted and accepted by client
- Track electronic AR greater than 90 (to bring to the attention of the billing attorneys to initiate collections if appropriate)
- Run various reports to monitor monthly billing is complete and accurate (provide documentation to billers, attorneys and clients)
- Train billers to work electronic rejections
- Assist billers
- Research billing issues for billing attorneys
- Track and adapt changing requirements for electronic billing
- Coordinate with attorneys, assistants, EBH, clients and platforms for responses to issues or questions
- Work edits to the LEDES templates
- Work tax issues through clients, EBH, and platform
- Figure out initial submission setups that have exceptions and are specific to one client
- Work out required manual uploads/billing
- Troubleshoot and problem solve rejections
- Confirm and approve invoices for platform subscriptions
- All other duties as required
Skills Required
- Five years billing experience, law office experience is strongly desired
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Vendor Websites, Aderant)
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities
- Problem solving abilities
- Good communication skills
