Constitution Day 2013 – Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?

Each year in September, the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of New Mexico visits classrooms statewide, teaching 5th graders about the importance of the Constitution. Spencer Edelman, a firm associate and member of the Board of YLD, helped to coordinate the volunteers from Albuquerque, along with fellow YLD Board Member, Greg Gambill. The program was coordinated state wide by Ken Stalter. On September 17, 2013, Modrall Sperling lawyers Bill Keleher, Sarah Stevenson, Mia Kern, and Meg Meister joined Spencer and other volunteers across the state and presented educational programs for students at local elementary schools about the Constitution. Each student received a pocket-sized copy of the Constitution provided by the State Bar.
