Roberta Cooper Ramo Named Chair of Albuquerque Economic Development

Roberta Cooper Ramo, Shareholder at Modrall Sperling, has been elected Chair of Albuquerque Economic Development (AED).  Albuquerque Economic Development is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recruit business from outside the metro area with high quality jobs and to support the expansion of local businesses. Ms. Ramo will lead the Board charged with encouraging private sector expansion of business of all kinds in the Albuquerque Metro Area.

At her election Mrs. Ramo said, ”I am honored to work with the Board and superb Professional staff of AED in communicating the pride we have in our City and our confidence in its growing prosperity for all of our citizens.”

Ms. Ramo has held national leadership positions since she began practicing law, including being the first woman in history to serve as both the President of the American Bar Association and the American Law Institute.  She is also the Chair of ThinkNew Mexico, a bipartisan think tank, and on the Executive Committee of the Santa Fe Opera.  Ms. Ramo is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
