Santiago Piza Cossio is an Associate in the firm’s Transactions Department, assisting with matters involving commercial transactions, real estate, and renewable energy development.
Santiago received his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While attending law school, Santiago served as a Research Assistant for Professors Gloria Valencia-Weber and Paul Figueroa. He also served as a Professional Articles Editor and Staff Member of the New Mexico Law Review. In addition, Santiago received CALI Awards for outstanding performance in several law courses, as well as Clinical Honors and the Dean’s Award.
Prior to law school, Santiago obtained a Law Degree from the Sorbonne University (Paris, France) and a Master’s Degree in International Development from the Sorbonne’s Development Studies Institute-IEDES. He started his career as a consultant and working in the nonprofit sector before transitioning to finance and investing.
When he is not working, Santiago enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and traveling with his wife. He is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
