Spencer Edelman Named Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year
Spencer L. Edelman, a Shareholder at Modrall Sperling, has been named the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the State Bar of New Mexico.
The honor is presented each year to an attorney who has exemplified the epitome of professionalism by ethical and personal conduct during the early stages of his or her career. Further, the honoree must have demonstrated a commitment to clients’ causes and to public service, enhancing the image of the legal profession in the eyes of the public.
Spencer is actively involved in the State Bar of New Mexico, where he is past chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division and a member of the Bankruptcy Law Section. He participates regularly in the Wills for Heroes program which provides free wills to police officers, fire fighters, EMTs and other first responders. He also provides pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Attorney Project, Law La Palooza free legal fairs, the Veterans’ Civil Justice Initiative, and Ask-a-Lawyer call-in program on Law Day.
Spencer will be honored at the 2017 Annual Meeting – Bench & Bar Conference in July.
